reflections from the saints and prayers of the

subjects other than Christ. These are short
quotes from Scripture and the saints, intended
to recall the mind to the Presence before it.
There follow Eucharistic Readings which are
longer passages about the Eucharist, written by

thoughts from the likes of Saint Pio of
Pietrelcina, Venerable Charles de Foucauld,
Saint Katherine Drexel, and Scripture.
Delighting in His Presence shares prayers of
praise and thanksgiving. Encountering His
Merciful Love brings to the adorer petitions for
conversion and healing. Drawing Near in
Confidence has the reader praying from his or
her own heart for his or her on personal
transformation and conversion. Nourishing Our
Lives shares "Prayers from the Hearts of
Believers" while Interceding for the World is a
section of prayers for particular needs.
The book is complete with Eucharistic Hymns
and Hours of Adoration, making this one of the
most complete and perfect books to bring along
during times of adoration. The book is not
intended to be read cover to cover but rather to
be used as a menu, so to speak, so that the
pray-er can devour what is most appealing to him
or her at the time.
