Hi there, I cannot tell
you how delighted I was when I found out that the prolife
little feet pin badge ( the size of feet after 10 weeks of conception)
were still around. I am from the
United Kingdom and have a
friend of mine with whom I work in
primary school with has
this badge. I have always wanted one but unfortunately do not know where in
England I can find one even
though I have tried surfing the net over and over. Ava Stanton
I have been brought up in the Catholic faith and have always believed that life begins at conception. I remember these pins from when I was
at school and have searched for them before- I live in the UK. Recently, after 3 miscarriages and 4 more years of trying, I got
pregnant again. I was overjoyed. Never had a baby been more wanted by every member of our family.
Unfortunately, on 7th October, I went into labour. I was just 16 1/2 weeks pregnant. My little boy was delivered but hadn't survived the
labour. He was in every sense perfect. Every part of him formed the tiniest little person, his fingers were totally formed, and his feet
had little toenails. I could go on and on about how perfect he was. When my priest came to visit us to arrange the funeral I asked him if
he wanted to see the photos of our little boy. He did and I can only say he was amazed by who he saw. This was he told us the youngest
baby he had ever seen. We named him Orsino Biagio Covell.
There is a miracle in knowing that God created such perfection and I know that the priest felt honoured to have seen our boy.
My sister told me that she had never really thought about abortion, but after seeing my boy couldn't believe that in the UK women could go
2 months further and still have an abortion. When my boy was buried I had knitted him the smallest clothes I could, including booties for his precious feet.
I have bought a pin for me, my sisters and my mum. So that they can remind us about how precious life is, that there is a person as soon
as pregnancy begins and also in remembrance of my little boy.
