The
Little Catechism on the Holy Eucharist with
Imprimatur by Bishop Bruskewitz
This small
booklet, printed in 1995 by the Catholic Bishop
of Lincoln, Nebraska (USA) discusses the
Eucharist, Its reception, and Its adoration. The
booklet discusses why we honor the Eucharist,
how we obtained the Eucharist, and what are the
gifts of the Eucharist.
Additional
topics include prayerful preparation for Mass,
how to receive Communion worthily, Communion
under both species, and reception of Viaticum.
Several suggestions on showing reverence to the
Eucharist round out this small but thorough
manual.
The booklet
also contains many prayers and invocations,
several of which regard the Eucharist. A helpful
section on indulgences and glossary of Catholic
terms contribute to the useful instruction
provided by this booklet.
The booklet
has received the imprimatur from Most Reverend
Fabian W. Bruskewitz, Bishop of Lincoln,
November 1, 1994.
